That's great news, Catman!  The most important thing now is to get as healthy as possible.  Not because that will have any impact on a potential remission, but because in the case of remission you'll need to be as healthy as possible to take a second round of treatments.  The thing about cancer is even when it cannot be cured it can be beaten back repeatedly extending life for a long, long time.  Stay positive.

And BTW, please try to ignore Rivers.  He was raised by retarded howler monkeys and is not fit for proper company.

Appointment today couldn't have gone much better.  Lab results show that the cancer is likely gone.  I've got another appointment in October to check again.  We'll likely be checking at least a couple of times a year for 5 years or so, but things look very good now.

Of course it was great news..you have been in our/my prayers everyday since you were diagnosed. Our faith in God may have helped. Your will to get strong is certainly a reason why you were able to defeat this bad entity.

I applaud your strength and will-power "Catman". You faced a fear that no one would be comfortable in hearing about. I'm actually happy of your openness and willingness to share your 'problem'. It may help me or others facing the same fears.

I'm getting back into shape slowly.  It'll be a while before I'm ready to charge up a ladder with a fire hose again (I'm a volunteer fireman, too). 
As to fantasy football, I'll likely pass.  Football is not my game.  George Will described it properly when he said it combines the 2 worst things in American society -- violence and committee meetings.  Don't get me wrong.  Football is fine.  It just isn't my game.
Poe, the way things looked in the tests they took, it appears the cancer is completely gone, but I will go back in October to get checked again.  Then, we'll see what the Dr wants me to do.
I thank everyone for their support in this troublesome time.  The disease wasn't any fun, and the treatment was not easy, but we got through it all.
