My #1 all-time--- "The Deer Hunter"-- The most intense movie I've ever seen, unbelievable actors, the cinematography and script was mind-blowing. The Russian Roulette scene is mind-blowing in more ways than one. Not for everyone because of how intense it is?...but my favorite movie because of how it emotionally drains your brain and makes you think.

My #2 all time--- "To Kill a Mockingbird"-- Best acted and scripted movie I have ever seen. I loved haw it was filmed B/W to give it a dramatic feel.

My #3 all time---  "The Silence of the Lambs"-- Unfucking real acting, great movie.

My #4 all time--  "Groundhog Day"-- Kinda kidding, but not really, who can't laugh at this classic.

My #5 all time--  "Wizard of Oz"---If you don't agree?..your not Human.

My #6 all time---  "Good Fellas"--- That's a fun well written script that everyone did a nice job at acting.

I'll add more if folks are interested.

I liked all of those.  Silence didn't do it for me as much as the others though.  Maybe it was the hype.  I saw The Exorcist when I was twelve or thirteen on late night television and that was probably the scariest movie for me.   I was still in diapers when it first came out.

There's so many I've enjoyed that I can't really say I have a top three.  Here are some of them.

The Graduate:   I first saw it when I was a teenager suffering from existential angst.  Must have identified with the character, I guess.

Dog Day Afternoon and Bonnie and Clyde

Reservoir Dogs:  I love a movie where they all die at the end.

Fargo:  Something about this type of humor does it for me.

Shawshank, Inside Man, and so on.  Can't think of them all.

I also liked Birdman of Alcatraz.   I wouldn't say the movie itself is outstanding.  I just loved the story; that a man in prison for life can redeem himself and live a life fuller than mine.

"Reservoir Dogs"-- That was great.

Too many to list lol...

Underworld Series...
The "Bourne" Series...
Grandma's Boy
The Hangover
Black Sheep
Tommy Boy
Star Wars Saga (Wish he'd slap his X wife around a bit and make 7,8, and 9.)
Tombstone "I'm your huckleberry." Love that line lol.

Tons more, just can't keep it to a "top 3".  Even Groundhog Day is up there on my list. Thumbs Up

rat race - just a hilarious movie
my blue heaven - for steve martin
the hurt locker - thrilling, dramatic, intelligent
presumed innocent - cool seeing harrison ford as a different type of character
the prestige - good the first time, better the 2nd, 3rd, 4th...
thank you for smoking - funny and dark
friday night lights - good drama, a little cheesy
