So I hope you folks found-out what it's like...kinda scary and you have no control, eh?.

My guess is that 'Levi' was pretty close to the epicenter. 'Poe' and 'MW' too.  Fun huh?  Shocked

Welcome to California!

Not sure they are doomed, but they will be in for some rocky weather for a few days.

Truth.

While I have the chance 'Catman'?...thanks for your effort inre; OTF Fantasy League.
Both you and 'Apples' have never given-up. I appreciate both of your efforts yet feel I have to underscore the efforts of you two...'Apples' because his team has been doomed, yet he keeps trying every week to try and make it better. 'Catman' because your team sucked and had a 'gazillion' injuries, yet your in the mix  for the play-offs.

Thank You both for 'playing' the game the way it should be played...with respect.

I appreciate that.

I've been in Japan, Guam, and S. Cal during earthquakes- they're no big deal, just most people here aren't used to them...
The hurricane IS something we're used to- batten down the hatches, drink a few beers, wait for power to come on (hence the beers- can't let them get warm!)
Irene looks like a mild one- Isabel, Hugo, David were all much worse; this will just be a little windy and wet for a few days!

Oh, it was an earthquake.  That explains it.

My best to everyone on the East Coast.  My neice, who lives in Durham, NC, said that it was a wierd feeling.  My cousins and other family that live in California have told me that they are somewhat used to the feeling.
Personally, its a feeling I'd rather not need to get used to.

A Hurricane is predictable and you get days of advance notice, no matter how big it may be. There is nothing more frightening than a sudden earthquake, I've felt many over the years, the one on Easter Sunday a few years ago?...It was very scary. Only time I was scared by one because it lasted a long time....anD KEPT GETTING STRONGER...AND DIDN"T STOP...THINGS STARTED FALLING OFF MY BOOKCASE.

And we were naked at mid-day! I'd like to say it was the best sex ever...but ----

I told Paula afterwards that "I'm awesome in bed"...She knocked me on the side of my head.

I had a near death experience the other day. Turns out you have to work in Heaven. Serious. The shrubs on those pearly gates?...someone has to trim them. God is very tidy...He sucks sometimes. Here I was in 'near death' almost dead...God came to me and offered the Pearly Gates...I said "Yes..Oh God, what shall I do?" He gave me a hedge trimmer and a smile....(I'm working on that comic bit)

I get that.

Same weird feeling in DC today. It was dark at 6:30 because of the overcast but it wasn't raining. Just hot and humid.
