Well...I kinda got sucked in by that whole facebook B/S...But over time it just seemed to me to be empty of real thought and substance..

It was nice to re connect with some people I knew in High School and the Navy that I lost track of...but some of the people that "friend-ed" me I could have done without the re connection...

It got pretty mundane to see comments of.."I hate Mondays"..."this traffic sucks" (by facebook I-phone).."I love pizza" or the hundreds of kid pictures that moms post..of kids and dogs..kids and pumpkins...kids in school plays...

I missed the biting... sarcastic...sometimes repectful comments of Open Talk Forum....

I'm on it too.  I think my new daughter-in-law is on it constantly.  I like to see what some old friends are up to, but I'm not in to the Mafia Wars, Farmville, Fishville, etc.  I think it's mostly a big personal data magnet.  I don't join any of those groups I don't know.

I'm not...I didn't like most those folks years ago (no offense...but they weren't that interesting), why would I want to 'connect' with them now?. Wink

I only connect with the ones I want too.  Ever go to a reunion?  Not that much fun.  A bunch of old people coming-up to you and saying they know you.  At least on Facebook you can see them from a distance.

I've been sucked into the Facebook world...  Typically keep in contact with old friends, and family.  Plus I play a lot of black jack on there. LOL

I didn't like Facebook at all to begin with, but have learned to like it.  I think it's mostly a huge machine to gather as much data as possible about everyone who will join all the silly stuff on there.  I'm very careful about giving too much personal info.  It's pretty nice to be able to keep up with old friends.  I like to look at pictures of hot women from high school, and see how they've turned in to NASCAR tee shirt wearing skanks with ankles larger than my waist. I look at them and think- am I that old and pitiful?  Probablly. Sad

You should be thinking, man, I dodged a bullet there.  lol

I don't facebook, I audio book, it's more relaxing.  I don't tweet cause I'm not a twit.  I like my space to be....well....MY space, not shared with millions of others.  I see all of these things as the reality TV of the web.  I don't really like reality TV.  Except the Bearing Sea crab boat guys.  I love that show.   Thumbs Up
